Airplane Kisses is a warm and moving story about maintaining family bonds in our global society. It is a story about a boy named Daniel who lives in Iceland and his Grandma who lives in America.

They love to visit each other but it is very difficult when they have to say good-bye. Daniel overcomes his sadness when he discovers a clever way to send his Grandma airplane kisses.

Ingibjorg Vilbergsdottir and Nancy Myer are both elementary school teachers who are very interested in children's literature. Ingibjörg's son Daniel is the inspiration for this story.
